Famous Landmarks

Plane tickets are expensive and the line for the elevator is long. A porcelain Eiffel Tower, on the other hand, fits on a windowsill and never closes for maintenance. Landmarks make the perfect gift for the friend just back from Paris, the couple who got engaged at the top, the student heading abroad, or the dreamer who keeps a French phrasebook on the nightstand. It is a souvenir from France, painted in France, so it is about as authentic as souvenirs get.

Paris in Every Season

The Eiffel Tower is the star, and it changes outfits often. Look for towers on spring green, towers wrapped in flowers, white towers tethered to balloons, a tower under the sun and moon, and one standing proudly on a map of France. Santa climbs it at Christmas. An easel shows it off for art lovers, and one tower hides "I love Paris" painted inside. The world tour continues with Big Ben, the Statue of Liberty, and a shopping bag inspired by the cancan dancers of old Montmartre. Every piece is hinged and arrives gift-boxed.

A Passport on the Shelf

Landmark collectors tend to fall into two camps: the travelers who add a box for each city they visit, and the Eiffel enthusiasts who want the tower in every color and season. Both make delightful displays. Arrange towers from spring to winter along a mantel and you have a calendar of Paris. Mix world landmarks on a shelf with framed postcards for a travel wall. A tray with a tower, a beret and a tiny croissant looks like breakfast on the Seine.
