Keeping your Limoges box beautiful
Hand-painted porcelain lasts for generations with a little care.
- Dust gently with a soft, dry brush or microfiber cloth.
- Clean carefully: if needed, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry right away. Never put a Limoges box in water or a dishwasher.
- Avoid chemicals: polishes and cleaners can dull the painted decoration and the brass mounts.
- Open with care: lift the lid by its edge and support the base; don't force the clasp.
- Display out of strong sun and away from shelf edges, curious pets and small hands.
- Keep the gift box: it's the safest way to store or move your piece.
