Poodle & Pug Collectors
Little dogs have perfected the art of being carried, pampered and photographed from their best angle. Their people adore them shamelessly, and Limoges poodle and small dog boxes are made for exactly those people. Each one is hinged, hand-painted in France and arrives gift-boxed, ready for a birthday, a new-puppy celebration or an ordinary Tuesday made better by a cute dog. Like any proper lap dog, it fits neatly into a handbag.
Poodles parade in white, apricot, chocolate, gray, blue-gray and black, one even holding a removable grooming tool like it owns the salon. Dachshunds come in black and brown, with one wearing a removable brass collar. Chihuahuas perch on pink bases, Shih Tzus show off brown and gray coats, and Bichons flirt with butterflies, read the paper or flop beside a ball. A pug with spilled water and a removable bone looks thoroughly unapologetic. Every curl and perky ear is painted by hand.
Small-dog collectors love variety, and these breeds come in so many colors that a collection practically assembles itself. Try collecting every poodle shade for a pastel parade, or match each box to a lap dog in the family. They look adorable on a mirrored vanity tray beside the perfume, on a nightstand or in a glass curio where they can supervise the household. Tuck a spare earring inside, which is about the size of a Chihuahua's breakfast. Small dogs, big love.
