Carousels & Circus
Remember the first time you rode a carousel, reaching for the brass ring while the organ music played? That feeling fits beautifully into a pocket-sized porcelain treasure. Limoges carousel and circus boxes are made for new parents, grandkids, state fair regulars and anyone who still waves from the painted horse. Each one is hand-painted in France, hinged and arrives gift-boxed. It is joy you can hold in one hand, and the ride never ends.
Step right up, because the midway is open. Expect merry-go-rounds in pastel green, purple and holiday red, a bunny taking a spin on a carnival ride, and bumper cars ready for a gentle bump. Under the big top you may meet circus elephants, a striped circus tent and clowns of every temperament, from a harlequin with a mandolin to a fellow holding a bouquet or a balloon. Candy-wrapped lollipop clowns in blue, pink and orange add a sugary wink. Lift a lid and there is room inside for a ticket stub or a lucky coin.
A carousel makes a magical first birthday or baby shower keepsake, and a clown is a cheerful pick-me-up for a friend who needs a smile. Collectors love arranging carousels on a tiered cake stand like a little fairground skyline, with clowns and elephants parading across the mantel below. A glass cloche over a single merry-go-round turns a nursery shelf into a showpiece. Add a string of fairy lights behind the display and the whole carnival glows. Come one, come all, and bring the big top home.
