Elephant Collectors

Elephants never forget, and neither will the person who receives one of these. A trunk-up elephant is a popular good luck symbol, which makes a hand-painted Limoges box a clever gift for a new home, a new job, a graduation or any brave new chapter. It also suits safari dreamers, grandmothers who love their little ones fiercely and anyone who simply cannot resist a baby elephant. Each box is hinged, painted by hand in France and arrives gift-boxed.

Trunks, Tassels and Tiny Tuxedos

The herd includes royal elephants dressed in jeweled blankets, imperial elephants with golden trim and circus elephants balancing in their finest. Mothers stand beside their babies, and a baby elephant on its own is impossibly sweet. Wild elephants roam on painted savanna bases, and one dapper fellow wears a tuxedo, presumably for a very fancy jungle gala. Look closely at the wrinkles, toenails and tasseled headdresses, all brushed on by hand. Lift the lid, and there is room inside for a lucky coin.

Raising a Lucky Herd

Elephant collectors often follow one simple rule: keep the trunks up. Arrange your herd facing the front door for a welcoming touch, or line them up from biggest to smallest for a family-style parade. Royal elephants add sparkle to a dresser, circus elephants are fun on a playroom shelf and wild elephants feel right at home among travel books. Giving one at every milestone turns a single box into a story of good luck over the years.

Wish someone well with Good Luck & New Beginnings. Circus elephants perform in Carousels & Circus, and wild ones roam with friends in Giraffes, Zebras & Safari.
