Turtle Collectors

Turtles are the official mascot of patience. They take their time, carry their home everywhere and still manage to look content. That makes a hand-painted Limoges turtle a meaningful gift for a graduate who finally crossed the finish line, a marathon runner, a beachcomber or anyone working steadily toward a big dream. Each one is hinged, painted by hand in France and arrives gift-boxed. It also happens to be the cutest possible reminder that slow and steady really does win.

Shells, Sand and a Good Book

These turtles have hobbies. One goes shopping with a basket, one rides in a cart and one settles in with a book. Sea turtles crawl across painted beaches, and one sandy scene may hide a removable egg. Mother turtles travel with babies, a tiny turtle nests in an oval box and another rests on a lily pad or under flowers. Every shell is painted segment by segment in mossy greens and warm browns, and the hinged lid reveals a secret compartment as snug as a turtle's own home.

Collecting at a Leisurely Pace

Turtle collectors like to take their time, and that is half the pleasure. Add a turtle for every beach trip, every milestone or every hard-won achievement. Sea turtles look lovely on a coastal shelf with shells and sea glass, while the whimsical turtles shine on a desk or in a home library. Try arranging them on a sand-colored tray in a slow, winding line, like a little parade heading toward the waves.

Turtles share their pond with Frogs. Ocean cousins swim in Fish & Sea Creatures, and sea turtle fans will love Beach & Lake House Lovers.
