Lab & Retriever Collectors
Labrador owners know the joy of a tail that clears a coffee table in one swipe and a face that insists it has never eaten a sock. Celebrate that loyal goofball with Limoges Lab and retriever boxes instead of yet another tennis ball destined for under the couch. Each one is hinged, hand-painted in France and arrives gift-boxed, ready for a Lab lover's birthday, a new puppy or a thank-you to the best dog sitter in town. It is the only retriever that will stay exactly where you put it.
Labs come in all three classic flavors: sunny yellow, glossy black and rich chocolate. Some stand at attention as if someone just said walk, others sit politely, and a few pose with a puppy at their side. Look for a beige Lab with a ball, a black Lab ready to fetch, and a golden retriever lounging on flowers with a removable ball. A sitting yellow puppy may come with its own removable bone. Each coat is shaded by hand, right down to those soulful eyes that talk you into sharing your sandwich.
Here is a collector's secret: Lab fans love completing the color trio. Start with the shade of the dog snoring on the couch, then add the other two for a cheerful lineup. Families who have loved several retrievers over the years often keep one box per dog, with the name written on a tiny card tucked inside. Display them on the mantel or on a tray by the leash hook. Good dog, indeed.
